Local Rules

Golf is to be played according to the current Rules for the Game of Golf. The rules according to the Swedish “play and competition handbook” chapters 1 to 3 and the following Local rules:

LOCAL RULES AND TEMPORARY LOCAL RULES:
Temporary local rules are posted in the reception at the clubhouse. In addition, the following local rules apply to all play at the club unless otherwise stated in connection with an individual competition.

PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF LOCAL RULES (unless otherwise stated in the local rule):

1.Out-of-bounds (OB) (Rule 18.2) a. The boundary of the OB is defined by fences, walls, or white sticks. b. The fenced fairway at holes 3, 4, 7 and 8 is OB. A ball that passes this fairway on holes 3, 7 or 8 and comes to rest on another part of the fairway is OB.

2.Penalty Areas (Rule 17) a. The fenced pond at holes 3 and 10 is a red staked penalty area.

3.Special or mandatory relief
a. Staked trees or trees identified with orange marking. If such a tree impedes the player’s stance or area of the players intended swing, the player must take relief without penalty under Rule 16.1f

4.Abnormal Course Conditions (Rule 16) a) Ground Under Repair (GUR) GUR includes exposed rocks on areas mowed to fairway height or lower. Areas in bunkers where sand has been washed away by running water giving rise to exposed rock, deep furrows through the sand are GUR. White spray lines or blue sticks around an area define the boundary of the GUR. Areas defined with blue-white sticks are GUR from which play is prohibited. Large or hard anthills on the course are, at the player’s discretion, loose natural objects which may be removed under Rule 15.1 or GUR from which relief without penalty is permitted under Rule 16.1. b) Immovable obstruction Areas whose boundary is defined by white spray lines connecting to areas defined as immovable obstructions have the same status as the immovable obstructions.

5.Determining when and where players may practice
a. Practice play is permitted on and near the putting green in front of the clubhouse, the putting green with the associated bunker at Tee 1 and around the practice green at the kiosk at hole 9.
